MEET THE ARTIST
My work reflects the memories, people, and places that shaped who I am. Growing up in Los Angeles and later moving to Texas, I experienced two very different worlds—urban and rural—that continue to influence how I see and create. I use materials like metal, plaster, wood, and resin to build sculptures that mix strength with vulnerability, often inspired by family, faith, and childhood memories. My nephew, Asiah, plays a big role in how I approach my art—his curiosity reminds me to see things with imagination and honesty. Through my work, I explore identity, belonging, and transformation, leaving room for others to find their own meaning and connection within it.
